Safety

Safe use of the shop is our primary concern and will be the primary concern of any students who use the shop.

To this end we require students to fill out and submit a consent form which outlines many of our expectations of students. The fabrication process, however, is a complex one and even though we have extensive safety talks, assignments, tests and demonstrations it is impossible for us to cover every possible situation a student may encounter. That is why the number one shop rule is NEVER ACT WITHOUT THINKING SAFETY FIRST and we have made it completely clear that a student is never to do anything they are unsure of.

Please take the time to carefully read through the consent form before signing it and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or to arrange a time to inspect our facilities.

If you still have safety concerns and feel uncomfortable with your student participating in the fabrication program please don't hesitate to contact the school and have their schedule changed. Fabrication is not for everyone and there are many other avenues of study for a student to persue.
